Digital Photography Basics

Digital cameras are getting cheaper and cheaper, and we are seeing more of them in LPS classrooms every year. While every model and manufacturer is different, there are a few things that remain true across all of them. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of using a digital camera. We'll spend time talking about basic image settings, memory types and upgrading tips, automatic shooting modes, framing and composing better photos, moving your photos from camera to computer, backup and storage tips, and education specific issues around student photos. Digital cameras are not provided in this workshop, nor are they required to take this workshop. If you have a digital camera, bring it along for a great opportunity to get to know it better during class. This is not a troubleshooting class, and instructors cannot possibly answer all questions about your particular make or model of digital camera. Bring your camera's manual if you think you may need assistance.
